The Framework That Built My $3M Personal Brand
And how anyone can start a personal brand business (even if you think you've got nothing to say)
I was talking to a friend the other day who has been wanting to start a personal brand but, in his own words:
“I just don’t know what I’d make content about.”
He said he just didn’t feel qualified enough for anyone to listen to him or watch his content.
Look man — I get it.
When I started my first personal brand back in 2023, I didn’t feel like an expert either.
But here’s what I discovered:
There are two different archetypes that successful personal brands use that can print money.
And you can successfully replicate either one of these archetypes regardless of where you’re at in your life right now.
I’ve personally used both of these archetypes.
And using just one of them, I made over $3 million.
If you feel like you aren’t qualified enough or like you haven’t achieved anything noteworthy yet — then the second archetype is exactly what you’ll want to use.
Archetype #1: The Hero
This is the “I did it, now I’ll show you how” framework.
Sit down and list out the answers to this question:
What have I achieved that someone else would potentially pay to learn?
Were you overweight but then lost 30 kilograms?
Did you build a six-figure business?
Taught yourself how to grow and maintain Bonsai trees?
Great.
Showcase the end result you’ve achieved, make content that packages the journey you went through, share the behind-the-scenes and teach others how to get to where you are via content.
This is the archetype I’m employing now with my new personal brand here.
I built a $3m+ personal brand in only two years, now I’m showing you how.
But what if you haven’t done anything big yet?
Archetype #2: The Student
This is how I made my first $3m.
Arguably, this archetype is more attractive to your followers too.
Here’s the play with this archetype:
Pick a goal your working towards achieving (starting a business, getting into shape, becoming a profitable day trader 😉)
Then simply document the journey — your wins, losses, how you’re overcoming specific hurdles, etc.
You’re not taking the position of an expert, you’re taking the role of a peer and making the journey alongside your followers.
Be raw, be real, be in motion.
This is what I did as a day trader — on a daily basis I was sharing my journey.
Good, bad, ugly, etc.
People followed, trusted, bought into my developing story.
Not because I was an expert — but because I was a peer sharing insights to people just a step behind me in the journey.
Two years, 40,000 followers, and $3M in affiliate earnings later; I can say without a doubt this is the most effective archetype to use for most people.
Actionable Step:
Spend an hour today auditing yourself against these two archetypes; what have you achieved, and what are you setting out to achieve?
List out everything you can think of (even if it seems ridiculous)
There’s a dude out here on Skool making over $30k USD a month teaching people how to play Pickleball.
So don’t rule anything out lol.
(By the way, this weekend on YouTube we’ll break down how I used the student archetype and monetized it to make $3M in two years. Let’s start getting technical here.)
